Sunday 7 May 2017

Let the sun shine. . .

The weather today was glorious.

Sunday mornings are often filled with jobs, shopping, washing, ironing, homework . . .

But this afternoon I decided we all needed to get out!!

Having Penny does encourage the children, but its often still a challenge.

Penny couldn't understand why the sheep all ran from her. . . .

Having the dog also sets a steady pace, she really can move!

Taking photos, I often get left behind.

Getting good photos of children is difficult but a dog that never stays still. . . well I've no chance!

This week my Son has his SATS test at primary school.

All I've heard about from school for weeks and weeks is SATS and I'll be glad when its all over.

Loading children up with homework, week in week out, even over the school holidays, all for SATS

So roll on Friday when we will be mainly eating cake.

Thursday 4 May 2017

April . . . . May

Following the Wedding in April life went back to normal.

Back to walking the dog. . . .

No more wedding shopping!!

Looking after chickens for my Mum and Dad
(although Penny chases the chickens around and around)

I've also sown seeds in the greenhouse despite it being full of baby spiders.

We had a lovely family walk along the Lancaster canal.

Penny met her first swan and when it looked like getting out of the water we ALL moved away.

A little stop off at the garden centre for an ice-cream

And a drink for Penny!!

Today, after the children had gone to school, we headed back to the canal.

Everything is so green and lush.

Penny was well behaved

and is getting better at 'walking on the lead'

The best bit about the walk?

It conveniently ends at a dog friendly pub!

So whilst we sat enjoying our lunch, Penny sat happily under the table, watching the ducks walk past.
